Supply chain: 240 audits across companies in the HModa Group’s supply network

HModa is an industrial project promoted by Hind SpA, a holding company dedicated to investing in the capital of excellent SMEs, with the aim of supporting growth through aggregation and internationalisation projects. It operates across the entire fashion supply chain through 19 investee businesses, three of which specialise in footwear (Valmor, Dema and Alinea).

Amid growing demand for transparency, traceability and control across luxury value chains, HModa has made structural investments to refine its supply chain governance model. This evolution brings together risk management, data analysis and operational control within a single industrial system built on proprietary tools, turning the supply chain into an active element of the group’s growth strategy. In 2025, the system involved 191 suppliers and led to more than 240 audits being carried out on companies across the Group’s supply chain. Underpinning this approach, HModa has also introduced a proprietary four-tier rating system, which provides an accurate picture of supplier reliability and confirms the overall soundness of the production network: around 86% of the supply chain, in fact, falls within the higher reliability bands (A – maximum reliability, and B – good reliability with advanced monitoring).

The approach adopted is founded on three elements: a dedicated in-house “Supply Chain Team” of certified auditors who monitor the supply chain operationally and follow up on any issues identified; the structured use of data as a tool to support industrial decision-making; and a risk management model that directs monitoring activities and corrective measures according to operational priorities.

To keep the process consistent and objective, HModa has developed a proprietary assessment system based on standardised methodologies. The Risk Assessment sits at the heart of the model: by analysing 15 assessment areas that combine industrial and ESG indicators, it assigns each supplier a reliability index used to plan verification activities. Also significant are the two checklists: one covering more than 200 requirements relating to labour, health and safety, governance, the environment and social responsibility, and the other comprising over 70 questions dedicated to operational traceability and the assessment of suppliers’ industrial structure.
